so ive been invited to go away for a day trip to jones lake...or waleach...whatever ya want to call it. people think tis clear yet up there. i have a feelin we still got snow aftewr the last few colder nights weve had and our recent spring snow fall. any tips on lures or fly`s to try or where on the lake would be nice..been way to many years since ive been there.

I was talkin to someone that went up there last week and the water level was very low... alot more stumps and mud to pass untill you get water

all i know is i need to go...got the itch...my local stuff just isnt doing it for me anymore these cabins at lake of the woods sound scarry. nothing but bad reviews everywhere. think id rather sleep in the car on the side of hyway ill check that kawkawa lake out but i think buddy now has his mind set for lake of the woods..going to decide tonight

Yeah was up there about 5 years ago with my kids . Noway I'd stay in on of those cabins. We ended up driving all the way up to White Lake..... Ive got the bug too had a cabin booked in Princeton for a week early May , but it's been snowing there off and on and I need open water....Road trip Monday!!!!

well my buddy is set on hittin lake of the woods...but we may just camp out...even in the cold. worst case there are places to stay 10 min away in hope. so lots of choices for the over night. i think alot got confused by the word RESORT for the lake...you dont get no resort for 100 buk a night....not what i call a resort anyways. looks like its going to be a friday over night to say eve fish trip
