deer lake in harrison is a good place for takin the kids lots of little hungry cutties in there, it'll keep them entertained all day long. has good campsites with a beach and grass area to play.

am still unknown on where to find fire wood close to deer lake any help would be greatly appreciated i only have a car that's loaded with a boat and camping equipment i would have to unload and then get wood so somewhere near harrison would be ideal thanks
Ronnie

I believe there are a few firewood places on the way into Harrison from the freeway, just keep an eye open. I imagine a parks employee won't be around before May 1, but they normally sell the best wood at the best price. Stay away from the gas station bundles, as it is usually kiln dried, and burns faster than paper. If you don't see firewood signs on the way in, there are a few RV campsites on the way in that will have some. It will likely be over priced, and maybe even a bit damp, so make sure you have a good look at it before you buy it.
