Okay folks, just wondering if that place exists anymore at all. That was the place I learned to fly fish at back in the day and was wondering if it is still around. I know it got destroyed pretty hard by the city/development/garbage/etc and am not looking for any political insight about who did what to it, but am jut curious as to whether or not it has either trout/carp/pansfish (bluegill) left in it.

I remember that lake used to be chalked full of bluegill and was a fun little place to use a 3wt with nymphs.

Ah, okay. I'm hoping there are still bluegills or some sort of panfish surviving in there. When the trout weren't on, we'd switch over to 3wts and twitch little nymphs and slay them in there. Was hoping to maybe get out there one of these days and try it out...

They used to stock it with catchables and a couple of old lunkers back in the day. Not sure if they still do anymore??

stopped by stokes today with my fly rod no luck but my buddy spotted a carp ,talked to an old timer walking his dog n told me that there is bass in there. water level was very high.

Is there really bass in Stokes Pit? Can anyone confirm this?
More importantly, are there any other fish besides carp in there? Carp are fun on a fly rod, no doubt (they are the "poor mans bonefish," after all) but I have found them to sometimes be difficult to get on a fly. Bass, bluegills, and anything else would be lots of fun.

Cheers.

you can find out about bass in the lower mainland and interior on this forum www.pcba.forumotion.com

Look guys, dont post about small bass lakes on forums etc. Its small water and even 10 more anglers goin there will make it blow. I have noticed this in the last two year. Even ########## Admin deleted disguised expletive ####### retards go there who call them largemouth trout. Get real, seriously.
