Topic: Best local trout fishing? |

I have not been fishing since I was in my teens and am just getting back into it. Can any of you give me some advice on what the best spots would be to catch trout in and around Mission? So far I have only tried Rolley Lake in November but without luck.

try whonnock or if you want to go to coquitlam try lafarge. out by harrison there are a bunch of smaller lakes. do you have a boat of any kind?

If you have a small boat go to Buntzen Lake and troll around some flies. Lots of easy trout to catch there.

I have a canoe, and a 10' boat without a motor, but I think that I will buy a belly boat soon. Years ago I remember that Sunrise used to be good for trout but I hear that it has not been as good since that jeep was sunk in the lake, any feedback on that?

Buntzen is always my choice for a close by lake, it is large enough to get away from the noise and activity on shore and has lot's of willing trout. The scenery is quite breathtaking and I feel fortunate to have this half an hour from home.
