heading up to merritt tomorow in the am for a day of ice fishing. i will be targeting rainbows and brookies. i was thinking of hitting up corbett or kane lakes but doesnt have to be one of them. does anyone know how the lakes up there are fishing? any tips on where to go or what to use would be great. thanks <*)))><

fished harmon for 4hrs. with no bites, so we headed to coquihala lakes. it was better there i landed 3 nice bows. my dad had put his rod down on the ice for a minute we both saw the bobber go down the hole, followed by his nice new ice fishing rod. lmao we where useing rubbie eyed wigglers with a 12"leader glo hook and worms.<*)))><

A variation of the disappearing rod scenario has happened to most of us I'm sure.I lost a fly rod off the back of the boat on St Mary's lake years ago, and had to endure watching a big trout jumping around until it broke off!!

i just sit on a five galon bucket they work good and you can carry your gear in it too.

nice fish. Since you have been out lately can you report on the ice conditions. that would be great. I would love to take my kids somewhere not too far from West Kelowna.

Hey Abe are you from Langley bc ?? is coquihall lakes frozen ,is there a way in the back way instead of the lodge way ? any help be great

Not sure if Abe is around these days to answer your question. I have never fished Coq. Lakes but I doubt that it is frozen yet.
I live out of Chase and the lakes were starting to ice over when it warmed up. I suspect the same on the Coq.
No idea re:access other than via the lodge.
