Topic: Fishing Licence for visitors. |

I wonder if I have support for a fishing licence for an accompanied visitor. By this I do not mean the regular holiday maker that comes mainly to fish but the likes of our own visiting friends and family that come to stay with us and where we want to take them fishing.
It seems a lot of $$ for a one day fishing licence and you can only get a discount on sequential days licence. I would like to share a day or two with visitors from abroad without the high cost.
The provision would be that they are on holiday and staying with you and fishing with you. I do not want to flout the regulations and not want to be encouraged to borrow a licence.
I am sure if we can encourage a petition then it can be submitted to the authorities for favourable action. My suggestion would be that it would be an on cost to our existing annual licence. I am therefore asking for your comments or support.

Here's a liscense story for ya.
Last year i was in Kawartha Ont. For a few days fishin at a buddys cottage for musky. When we got into town we went to one of 2 local stores that sell liscenses. If you know the town, i'm talking about the store with all the horrible sweaters covered with animals and scenery, usually "CANADA"stitched across it somewhere. Gives me nightmares. Anyways i digress, The lady behind the counter is treating me like a tourist and tells me that i have to buy 2 levels of hunting liscense before i can buy my 2 day fishing pass. Think about it, well over $100 for 2 days of fishin. Nice try eh!
Oh and just a reminder for anyone fishing in Ont these days, The Police love to use their telephoto lenzes to watch you out there on the lakes. B carefull whatchoo got in yer hands out there.
