Does anyone have any advice on fishing this river. Where to fish, what bait and method, and what type of fish?

all i know is that the similkameen river has a bait ban from April 1 - October 31.

Good day Mr Jeff,one of the best places i have fished on the similkameen are right along side the red bridge in keromeos/sic.you can bottom fish with hook,weight and worms,providing bait ban is not in place.my daughter and i have caught rainbows up to 3lbs.all released.any deep holes along the river may provide some action.small spoons,single barbless hooks may also work.remember the hardest,out of the way spots may be the best.park,walk and explore if you have time.you will be pleasantly surprised.tight lines to you and good job moderating the forum.

try the bridge that crosses over to the chopaka indian reserve great fishing trout and white fish ive only fly fished there and very successful walk down river and fish them pools .also try the river at the end of 12st at the south end of downtown keremeos by the fruit pickers campsite also walk and fish them deep pools.
