So I tried bottom bouncing for the first time. I went to Peg Leg. TOTAL INSANITY! I could not find a decent spot and left with nothing. Is there any place that is not so busy? Farther up near Hope? Really want to get my first sockeye before season ends. Thanks.

Sea Bird island has good fishing and not as crowded, but still a lot of people. You'll see cars parked on 9 and a path leading to the river. Good luck.

the north side of the river near hope isn't bad.Called the pipeline...a lot less ppl.

Thanks for all the tips / spots. I did finally get my first sockeye by just braving the crowds at pegleg, but left because a drunk guy kept crossing the lines. I find it a bit stressful at times at pegleg w -- especially since I am new to salmon fishing. I will attempt these lessor crowded spots this weekend. Thanks again. Perhaps calling in sick and avoiding the weekend is the way to go LOL.
