Topic: Road into Pennask Lake |

Hello, this is my first post and I'm just getting into fly fishing!!!
I was wondering how bad the road into Pennask is the internet says the last 4-6 km are really bad I only have a suzuki grand vitara although it is 4x4 I'm wondering if I will have the clearance to navigate my way thru some of the large ruts that they say are in the road. also what would you recommend using if I can actually make it there?
Any help is much appreciated. Just came back from Hatheume yesterday didn't catch much girlfriend caught one still a great day out though.

4x4 vitara should get up there no problem. I've done it with a 10 foot camper while towing a boat. easy sheezy

Thanks for the help!! I want to try it out heard the fishing there is good, not very big but abundant we catch and release anyway so it should be fun thinking of going second week of Sept. any advice for flies to use? I see there is an actual Pennask nymph fly maybe that's a good start!

It's been 2 or three years but if memory serves me correctly green spratleys do well. If I'm ever in doubt in the interior a damselfly nymph or '52 buick is usually a good bet.
