Hey everyone... I'm new to fishing. Got a fly rod & reel and an inflatable fish hunter boat and am wondering after my experience today on a windy lake if I need an anchor... and if so, what would be appropriate.
I was on Alice Lake and found it almost impossible to cast cuz the boat was being pushed along at about 5mph. I ended up putting on a strike indicator and rowed around the lake but I'm sure I just looked like an idiot who didn't know what he was doing.
Any advice about fly casting from an inflatable in non still conditions would be appreciated.

I THINK THE PEOPLE HERE TOLD ME TO USE AN EMPTY MILK JUG OR BLEACH BOTTLE OR SOMETHING WITH ROCKS. DONE DEAL, BUT I HAVNT TESTED IT OUT YET. I WENT WITH A MILK JUG BECAUSE THAT WAS NEVER POISONOUS.

genius! thanks folks.
after posting this, I did a search and found little anchors specifically for tubes & inflatables.
I like the idea of the milk jug because I'm on a motorbike (I have a car but prefer getting to hard to access areas). With the milk jug I can fill it at the lake. SAVES WEIGHT!
