@europuma,

From looking at theFin's latest fishing report, he got that cuttie at Mike Lake.

@theFin,

Really nice fish by the way! What did it measure in at?

On topic: For lures, I don't really have any set favorites. When casting, I usually use Gibbs 1/4oz crocs, either the "Hammered Brass Fire Stripe" OR "Cerise / Clear Crystal" colors. For trolling I use a worm tipped wedding band in either red/green/ or emerald green beads with a willow leaf spinner.

They work great for Cutties too....

I prefer to use a fly, when fishing somewhere I've never been before I just use whatever is on my line from last outing. 52 buick, red spratley or a black wooly bugger with some shine are among my favorites. I also have had lots of success with a green damselfly patters, especially in the Interior.

ok and the 1/4 are not to big and say if i want to add weight to the lure so i can get a far cast how would i do that????
Trivium

1/4oz crocs are perfect for casting, no need to add weight.

ok thanks. an is there any other colors i should look into befor i go??????????
andrevan

colour really depends on the conditions...
but i would mainly bring ones with a bit of red on them, (gibbs fire stripe), either that or the gibbs silver hex? that turns out to be quite trustworthy. i think the red immatates a bleeding fish?

heres the link for some colour patterns: http://www.gibbsfishing.com/products_croc.asp

my 2 cents.

Branfish

Lake troll with wedding band and worm if on a smaller lake. If on a large lake an apex or a lyman lure.
