Just wondering if anyone has ever fished Hihium Lake before?

I have.. fantastic fishing with some 5lb plus fish caught.
When I was there the best action was on a sinking line with any green coloured fly. We also had some good luck at dusk using leech patterns near the reeds...

years ago a buddy of mine was knocking 'em dead when no one else was getting a thing. he was using small flatfish, green if i recall, and going DEAD SLOW. nice fish , some were 5 lbs.
