Can anyone tell me if a PCOC is needed for any size powered watercraft or if there is a minimum size you can operate without one? I've been trying to find stuff online and transport canada doesn't seem to answer their phones either. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

pretty sure you need a licence for anything now with power. it was anything under 4 meters with power...rediculous, my electric goes slower than i row!

Yep.....anything powered.
Should be a horse power issue butI guess it fills the cauffers

And don't worry about the exam. It is quite straightforward, just read the notes on line and try the online test. Then get a buddy to oversee you taking the exam.
Anyone hiring a boat does not need a PCOC, like holiday makers, who may be prone to a drink or two, it just does not seem to be fair.
Good luck with the exam.
