Thomas Lake, It's a fly in only lake on the east side of the north end of Pitt Lake. I was thinking of arranging a heli-trip in there some time in the summer. It looks like a high alpine lake so the summer or late spring should be a good time for hittin' it.

A friend of mine worked for Harbour Air and has fished most of the local high mountain lakes-but I'm not sure if he's been to that one.
Anyway in general he said there are fish up in those ponds but they're quite small because there's so little food.
IMO it'd be a waste of money to go to a lake full of 8" fish when for the same amount you could fish for Sturgeon that are 100's of pounds in the Fraser.

Not sure about Thomas. In general fisha are smaller than Kamloops/Merrit area lakes, however some lakes such as
Norton, Fire, Widgeon hold large fish.
Widgeon Lake (6-8 hour hike, or fly in) is a high alpine lake near Golden Ears park.
I saw a TV report (wings over Canada??) where they were catching 14-16 inch rainbows in there.

anyone have any suggestions for a fly in trip to a LAKE that has big trout?... Personal experiences or the like would be good. Im looking for something local but remote. Flyable out of Pitt Meadows by helicopter. Widgeon sounds good... Any other suggestions?

I heard Spruce lake, in the Chicootin's (near Goldbridge) is REALLY good. Its fly in, horseback or long, long hike.
