Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how I can get started fishing in the Vancouver area. Do I need a permit? Where are some good and close spots? Any good shore fishing? What species and am I looking for?
Thanks for all the help and hints.

You need a licence, http://www.fishing.gov.bc.ca/
freshwater for streams and lakes and tidal for the fraser west of the c.p. bridge in mission. Get a reg book and read it! Find a good tackle store, they are always good for some info most of all TIME, trial and error but just go uot have fun and enjoy nature. Good luck
