Thinking of taking my sons to Alouette for the first time - I have never fished the lake, but seen the great scenery and catch photos here! Any advice on where to start? There's a lot of water out there...
I am setting up downriggers on my aluminum - is that the way to get into some Kokes? Any particular depths?

Once we launch, are there any areas we should head to? Being such a large lake, it could take a long time to get to know it...
We have done a fair bit of trolling wedding bands around Buntzen, but with little success - I usually put a small mooching weight 5' up the line, but do you think we should just troll on the surface?
Thanks again, I appreciate your help in getting the boys into some fish.

I usually put a couple of split shot on. I find if I dont the rig is on top of the water ,I run a 5hp johnson on a 12' aluminium.
Good luck I may head out too
