I wonder with this cold weather we are having here in the okanagan if any of the mountain lakes will be frozen enough to ice fish any time soon??

Lots of ice on some of the lakes, had my sled on Turtle which is around McCullough and I was already on Specs which is up Beaver Lake road past Doreen. Over 6 inches on those ones!

Was at nickel plate lake this weekend didnt catch any fish just got some bites but ya the ice was over a foot thick

been to darke a few times have had great luck a nice 2pound plus brookie...lotsa fun small small hook some good shrimp.. walk to the far side...been real good this year so far ice is about a foot i'd say...beauty fish too.. yeah... baowchickaawaawaa

if u wanna get right into the lake i'd recomend 4by4 i have and f150 non 4by4 and i have gone in ....they plow right up to the turnaround and u can park there n its a 10-15 min walk ,,,mind you it hasnt snowed so you could still get in there with a truck or suv two wheel drive...some woops halfway through need alittle clearance(i have runningboards aswell) ..its good lol
