Thinking of heading that way enroute to Revy
Is one better than the other?
I'll be in a pontoon boat with paddles

i think the last post has holmes mixed up with some other lake.
keefer has lots of small trout , panfries.
holmes has some really nice brookies and rainbow but might be hard to catch. it is a small shallow lk.
depends on your preference! both are beautiful and
both can be fun.

The lakes I'm asking about is between Vernon & Revelstoke BC

Do you know the name of the lodge? Modern cabins (might take the Mrs) ?

keefer lk resort. i'm sure they will be modern enough.

Spent Fri night at Keefer Lake Winderness Resort
Quiet with a lot of posted rules...guess they have had some partiers in the past.
booked Oct 2,3 in a cottage
Lot's of ATV trails
Didn't fish but saw a lot of small jumpers. Believe the max depth is 60 feet, in front of the resort it looks quite shallow. Hopefully some quality fishing time then, had a flat tire to fix...in the rain Sat am, so didn't feel like pumping up the pontoons etc

i have seen fish 3 lbs in keefer but they are rare if they still exist.an old fellow basically mooched big dew worms in the deepest spot, right on the bottom. i never had the patience but i saw a string of BIG trout he caught that way! holmes has bigger fish but is very shallow. let me know how you do in october.
