most of the ppl that I see fishing from shore are using worms or pink power bait. with the lake being low you should try across the lake from the beach. I think if you follow the trail you should be find a nice spot. If you had a float tube or boat it would be better. I was trolling Red Doc Spratley and Black Leach and was able to get some last weekend. Good Luck Tight Lines..

I dunno about this time of year but in the spring I fish off the bottom with the hook about 6-8" off the bottom with a single salmon egg and that seems to work.

But I have also caught them there with power bait and float and bread about 16" under float.

..and if you're able to get onto the lake.

Just troll a Halfback very slowly behind the boat. Make sure it's a good 50 feet out. OR if you have a fly rod.. troll that halfback just off the boat with some sink tip line.

The advantage using the fly rod is.. you can also cast to rises you will no doubt see. It's super easy and you'll look like a pro.

major bumer we couldnt get into rolley lake cause the campsite was full so we went to some river in chiliwack so I couldnt fish cause I only had a little 6" foot rod with a spincast and 6lb test line on it and I didnt bring my river rod and tackle. and I spent $14 on worms

Were you planning on shore fishing at Rolley? I think you'd be lucky to catch anything that way. I had some luck trolling a green wedding band (size 6 hook) with a 2 inch piece of worm on it about 15-20 feet deep, nearing the north end of the lake around 6 pm. The first fish on surprisingly enough was a good 9inch bullhead (a nice fighter by the way). About 30 minutes or so after that I hooked a 11.5 inch rainbow. I trolled back and forth for another 2 hours after that and had a few bites.
