my zodiac needs some care. the transom has pulled away from the pontoon. can i get a hand on getting it fixed. where, cheap? some place wants $85.00 an hour min 2 hours. thanks

Had the same thing happen to my 12 foot Zodiac MK 1. Looked on line and found that it is a common problem on older Zodiacs. There was actually a class action lawsuit because of bad glue with older Zodiacs. Anyways, I just finished the repair this week, and it was no problems. Talk to Greelys for the glue (Stabon). (604) 514 9975. Will need some MEK cleaner also. I found MEK at a local industrial paint supply store. Make sure you clean all the old glue off the cuff and transom. I cleaned and sanded the cuff and transom, applied 3 THIN coats of glue to cuff and transom, with 5 min intervals in between each and then inflated the boat. For extra measure I used a 1" tie down strap between the pontoons to help hold it together. Leave it for a couple days and you should be good to go. Take the time to make a couple clamps to go over the whole cuff, it will make life easier and the bond better.
