Hey everyone,
There will be a fundraising fishing derby & family day taking place on August 15th on Kalamalka Lake (headquarters will be Kaloya Park). The funds raised will go to Living Positive Resource Centre to support those in our community living with HIV, AIDS, and hepatitis C.
The cost to enter is $25 for anglers and $8 for guests. Both options include a BBQ dinner and access to all of the family day events taking place in Kaloya Park.
We've got some awesome prizes that have been donated including a half day chartered fishing trip for two with Love2Fish Charters on your choice of Wood, Kalamalka, or Okanagan Lake, we've got a Mitchell Avocet II reel, a Kufa rod & reel, trout net, lures, a couple of Rapala magnetic tool holder combos, kids' rods, wallets, backpacks, trout nets, and more! And for the dancing anglers out there, we've got some vouchers for a free month of dance lessons (jazz, tap, hiphop, ballet).

Due to Rod Stewart's performance in City Park, Summer Jam 2009, the start of moose season, and a forecast rain, I am sorry to inform you all that the Fishing Derby & Family Day has been postponed.
I'll announce a new date shortly and assure you that the fish will be biting, the smoke will have cleared, and Rod Stewart will be far, far away.
