Topic: Plateau Lake or Rampart Lake |

Heading up for a week of camping and flyfishing just after the long weekend. Looking for a new lake, preferably something elevated and isolated (I know I probably can't get both)around Merritt/Princeton. I have narrowed it down at this point to either Plateau Lake or Rampart Lake.
Anyone been to either of these? I gather both have forestry campsites (about 7 on each lake) and the roads in are not great, but not an issue wth a 4x4. Fishing will vary, but they both have a bit of elevation which should help.
Please let me know what you think so I can finalize the plans and get the family off my back.

I've been to Plateau Lake a few times. Fairly nice campsites with picnic tables. The road in is rough but I had no problem with my 4X4. Wouldn't recommend bringing anything bigger than a camper because the last part is somewhat brushy.
I've always done well there, trolling various flatfish or green flies. Water is very clear and you can see the fish from the boat. I was there about a month ago and picked up 4 or 5 fish over 3lbs.

been to rampart quite a few times,caught nothing ever.It was real rough right at the camp site but 4x4 no problem
But like I said in your other post DEADMAN is where its at.
