Heading to Beaver (swalwell), Hatheume, and Alleyne from July 4-13. anyone been there very recently?

i was going to go in may,but had to cancel.i might be at alleyne when you are.most recent report last july, by me.

how is the road into alleyn lk? i was there a few yrs ago.
my 4x4 got a good workout but we made it. if it hasn't improved i'd be hesitant to go in.

no idea, but never afraid to go. 3/4 ton chev, camper and 12' boat and outboard??? we'll see!

i go to alleyne in my '79 mustang. the road from hwy. 5a to the lakes is 6km. rough paved (bates road)

just returned... beaver lake-ok, better to be at the resort/campground as a family. fishing fair-most anglers on ford fenders and bait etc. not exactly my style. any fish of size were deep. never got to alleyne. site at hatheume was too good.

alleyne was slow due to damselfly hatch, but kentucky fish were worm hungry
