Hey just planning to head up there soon anyone bin there lately? hows the road? hows fishing or is it still frozen any info greatly appreciated. Thanks

heard bad things bout the road, but never saw it for myself. goin up next weekend or atleast as far as possible....

Last I was at jones there was still a gate at the very bottom of the road because of the new slides that wrecked the road. I have not heard that they fixed it yet.

According to it, Jones is still closed.

A friend of ours has a cabin at Jones. On April 20th she drove as far as she could (about 7 km) with her 4X4 and then snow shoed in. Said there was about 2ft of snow at the cabin still. Apparently the road is very, very, rough.

wow really eh still that much snow... I wouldnt doubt it ive gotten stuck in May before well looks like i will still have to wait a while than. Where are good spots to shore fish on Jones

I was up there last week, and the road was blocked at 6km or so, unable to go further (didn't make it all the way up someone coming down said...) Apparently the road is out of service due to a serious washout up there, and won't be opened up until likely May 24 weekend. I believe there is concrete blocks blocking it.

We were up there on Sunday, 26 April 2009. Covered in rotten ice and snow. Blah. Road is hell... Will be going back in a few weeks.

you were able to drive all the way to the lake now? The road is fixed and the gate is gone already. Thats good news
