you could try rice lake, buntzen lake, sasamat, dear lake, weaver, lafarge and many more..

North end of Jones Lake is a very good place to learn fly fishing - first of all, it is rather productive fishing from shore, second when water level is low, there is plenty of room to practice your cast. Just make sure to check regulations, as there is a minimum size limit for trout if you are looking to keep some.
