I live in Vancouver, and havent been fishing since I was a kid. I am looking for anyone that is willing to take a new person along that pretty much knows nothing, but is fun!

wher are you in Vancouver? I will be going to start the year at deer lake in burnaby, not the best fishing but its close to where I live and I have no car (motorcycle only). Then some Ambleside and Vedder soon to follow.

make sure to get all neede licences and a salmon stam if you plan on doing that. As for me I like to catch anything as long as I get out and enjoy the weather. I just go for fun dont really care if I catch "the big one".

Wait to get your licenses....they expire/ need to re-new at the end of March. I think that if you get them now you will only be able to use them for a week.

This is true. Wait till April to buy a full season license. If buy one now its only good till end of this month.

you can buy next yrs full season licence already - just select 09/10 when you go online to purchase it. they have been available since beginning of march.
