Author Topic: Trout - Where to go early in the year?
FortheHalibut

Fished out here quite a bit in late 90's and have just moved back. Am familiar with Buntzen, Rolley, Gold Creek, and Chehalis but after that my knowledge is limited. Am interested in really getting into some trout fishing this spring. I usually spin cast, bottom fish with power bait, and bait fish in small creeks with telescopic bamboo rod (similar to fly fishing). I am based in New West and will go anywhere within 100 kms. Any advice where to go now that the weather is decent would be appreciated.

Fished Buntzen a few days ago, it was slooow. No bites between 2 other boats on the water. The trout there were not in the mood at all but in the spring/summer the lake is good fishing.
Weaver lake is really good in the spring.
