Leave yer hooks at home and head to a grass playing field, after you get the hang of it, try to hit a cup or other small target.

First change your scary profile pic. And then go up to sasmat lake(aka white pine beach) there is a floating doc that streches all the way across the lake. It will be great for practice, and puts your fly in the water instead of on the grass. (It's a few minutes away from Newport village)
Good luck!
