Now im a river fisherman and dont know much about lake fishing. Can anybody here shead some of your vast wisdom on to me ? Id love to know what would be a good lake to fish in early/mid April. Rainbows would be fun, mabey a a local lake like alloette or an out of town lake like Kootney Lake where the rainbows are huge ?

Any thoughts and ideas would be much appriated.

It can be hit or miss that time of year depending on the weather. The warmer the better. April is one of those months you never really know what the weather is going to do, and it is a big lake. You might want to check out this site, they have past fishing reports you can check out to get a feel for that time of year. http://www.kootenaykingfisher.com/reports.html

I did a fishing stag for my wedding a few years a go. We went the Sturgeon route. It was easy for everyone as it was realtivly close and most of the guys hadn't fished sturgeon before. The plus is Sturgeon fishing starts to pick up in March, so I knew the fishing would be good (My wedding was in May). I didn't want to disapoint anyone as for people that don't fish as often as I do, there no fun in going out when the weather can be bad and not catching. I always find if the fish are biting, peolpe will put up with the weather for longer.

I would recommend this guy. www.bcfishtours.ca. Wade gave us a really memorable trip, and we caught lots of monster fish. I still have people from the stag asking me about getting a trip together for sturgeon again. The great thing this type of fishing for the stag was we were able to fish side by side with the two boats so it didn't feel like half the stag party was missing.

Either way be careful out there if you head out with a few drinks under your belt, I wouldn't want to see anyone hurt!

60% of marriages end in divorce...if you and a bunch of other people were standing on the side of the freeway trying to cross and only 4 out of 10 people made it to the other side.......well, would you?????

Thanks for the info guys, I think the fraser and sturgeon might be the way to go. As for the guys with the intersting marriage stats, LOL thanks for that info to. We have been togeather for almost 9 years and i think she is a keeper. She even likes to fish and is really good at cleaning our fish, so i know she is keeper. LOL
