Topic: Carp fishing in the Okanagan |

I am looking for some information on places to carp fish in April May in the Okanagan.I would like to make an annaul trip for some spring carping. I fished there once before with no luck, shore access seemed to be a problem. Local knowledge would be much appriecated.

my german friends love carp fishing, i don't think we have these fish here.giant asian catfish live in the mississippi though.

Try Osoyoos lake and the oxbows along the okanagan river between oliver and osoyoos. There's always carp surfacing and moving around in the shallow ponds and such around the river. Also, there's a little pond in Osoyoos called "peanut pond" and it holds tons of carp. I find the best way is to use a bell sinker about 2-3 feet above your hook with a couple pieces of canned corn for bait. good luck, cheers

Yes,it is the Aligator Gar I caught in May last year. I ilke to fish for differant species, but my real love is carp fishing, and I know there are monsters in the Okanagon

in the webshots picsharing a guy has 100s of pics of these big cats.they noodle them with their fingers and hands and hope they don't catch a snapping turtle or venomous snake. i prefer to stay out of the water.

Duck lake in Winfield has big carp! They eat lettuce right out of your hand!
