Hello All,
I am a new fisher and picked up a freshwater license during the summer and recently obtained my salmon tag... Was around Vedder River/Chilliwack River Bridge the other week and had no luck whatsoever and someone mentioned for me to pick up red and white wool.
Since then, I've picked up some gear at Army and Navy and noticed red and white feathers as well and created some flies... Would it be as effective as wool or am I just wasting my time?
Thank you all for replying as it would greatly add to my "River Fishing" experience.;D

Most people use wool. Do you know how to tie it?
Don't worry too much about having no luck, it might be your location. Try moving around and checking out different spots. The bridge at the crossing always has lots of people.

Thanks Apex! At the moment, I've been reading up on knots and found the "EggLoop"to be the easiest. If you have any other suggestions please do so as I would greatly appreciate.

Was wondering if anyone fished around the Lickman Rd. area recently? Is it as busy as the Vedder/Chilliwack river crossing(Bridge)? I don't want to snag anyone's line as I've heard how territorial people can get around the river...
