This is from last week. Orange small corkys drift right on the bottom. This is the only way I found to get them in the mouth.

Anyone else have a good snag reducing method?

Try short floating. use about a foot to a foot and a half from float to weight, then about a foot and a half leader. I use procure roe but have had awesome success with colorado blades and jigs with this set-up. Key is make sure the painted part of the float is the only portion sticking out of the water. The second the float dips, slam it and fish on. Ive only ever foul hooked 1 fish in 3 years of fishing this way and when using this method around others, I've found this method outproduces about 3 fish to 1 fish for those fishing with long leaders(on the vedder mind you, havent fished the stave since last year). good luck.
