I fished Alouette Lake for four hours and caught two bull trout and a Kokanee. I missed a Kokanee at the boat, and had a half dozen other hits. The bull trout were caught on wedding bands tipped with worms tied behind a willow leaf teaser system, surface trolled near shore a few hundred meters north of the hatchery. The Kokanee hit a red and white Apex "trout killer", down a bit on a "Deep Six" planer.

Thanks for the report Diver Dave. That's the first positive report I've read about Alouette all year. How's the Deep six planer to use? Easy? difficult? Can you get a reasonable estimate on your fishing depth when you use it?

i was there 2 weeks ago.
same thing, surface trolling a black wedding band and fake worm 500 metres north of hatchery and caught a 13" rainbow.
