Topic: Lindeman Lake trout? |

I am new to freshwater/lake fishing ( use to fish a lot of saltwater many years ago) I hiked to Lindeman twice and fished from the shore but didn't see 1 fish. I tried spinners, flies and worms to no avail. Are they deep in the middle of the lake this time of year? Any words of wisdom wouyld be much appreciated. Also a picture of tying a line with the weight on the bottom and lure/fly 12" TO 18" up the line would be great??? is this a good idea?

well im not too sure why you didnt get into any fish , i hear it should be excellent and the elevation of the lake is quite high up , maybe just a bad day for you , i never went there but ill most likely go this summer and im not sure what your saying , is it swivel, line , then weight , then another 14 inches of line . ?

Thanks Coto, don't worry about the line stuff. I wasn't very clear but I have a friend that is an avid fisherman and gave me some great tips. It is a beautiful lake 45 minute hike straight uphill but well worth the scenery as well as the solitude. I went on a Sunday about 6:30am and there was 1 tent and no one else. Only when I started down back did i see a couple of people on the trail. Thanks Rob
