if you have a boat , even inflatable, its much better, but pay attention to power boats, they can turn you upside down.
through under the highwau there is like undergroundchannel that connects two bodies of water on both sides. There youl find a good spot to leave you car
try on the left side as you arrieve from vancouver, but work both. Dont forget, you dont go to superstore...:-)

you can fish there also for carp trout etc

Also try Whonock Lake. Loads of them in there. Take a belly boat and fish the lilly pads with any fly.
