I am coming to Vancouver from Aberdeen, Scotland on holiday later this year and i will be traveling in a r.v.
Can you tell me if it is possible to fish the rivers with just a license or do i have to pay for my fishing, if so what are the costs involved.

You will only require a license, but you may need both a tidal and non-tidal license (and possibly extra endorsments on them, called stamps, for salmon, steelhead, and at some locations for trout) depending on where you will be fishing. You can find more info at http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/ for freshwater (non-tidal) regulations, boundaries, and other info, including license fees. Also there is a link for saltwater (tidal) within that page, http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/recfish/Opportunities/salmon_tidal_e.htm . I hope that you won't be using the rv on your entire trip as I think that the first leg of your journey could be a tad moist. Lol??
