The family and I will be going to Hicks Lake for the very first time during the May long weekend. We have never gone up there before. Anyone have any tips on good RV/camping spots up there close to shore or other helpfull tips?
We will be staying for 3 days and fly fishing most of the time.

Expect people there...
I've never stopped at hicks, but went to deer lake twice. From what I've heard, deer lake is better. I would assume less people too. Fish the far side of the lake (opposite to the boat launch).

Yeah I figure it will be real busy up there on the long weekend so we've decided to go the following weekend instead.
