About a week ago I went fishing to woods lake, just a few km from winfield and I caught a 2 pound kokanee using white kernel corn.

A kernel of corn? Seriously? I fish Woods Lake quite often, generally with fies. Perhaps I should try the corn.
I haven't been out to Woods Lake since the thaw. I don't have a boat, but am wondering if I wouldn't freeze to death if I take my belly boat out this early.
