I'm looking to go fishing in this area in late April, early May. Does anybody know of any lakes up there that hold a lot of fish that are easy to catch? I'll be using lures. Just looking for a fun day to catch lots of fish, size doesn't matter so much.
I had heard of one lake but I can't remember the name.

Bob lake? Good lake 4x4 acess fish to four pounds. Close to Helmer but on the other side of the Highway, have a look in a backroads mapbook.

have you heard of walloper lake? it is just out side of kamloops about 20 minutes(west). the fish are small but the fishing is absoultely amazing.take the logan lake exit and just drive to your right for 1 minute(driving east).

walloper is a great lake for little fish you can fish from the dock or by boat
