rice lake was excellent today since it got stocked with 1000 fish everything worked great got about 5fish on the fly ,5 on powerbait eggs,5 on a roostertail and and 15 on a small dick nite, fun on on an ultra-light setup kept four as when using bait they swallow them deep down only about 11 inchers.
just purchased a templeforks finesse 3wt so it should be a blast with that here on the local lakes this summer

it was good that day , but since now the fish are spread out its way more difficult to connect..you going up there soon ffl?

Fished Rice Lake once last year. It was pouring rain and got very wet with no hook-ups. Was boring fishing from the dock but they dont even let you into the water. Not sure why, they probably have there reasons but I bet if you get into a belly you could get to some nicer spots.

would not want to go in to that lake.. Nah coto i ain't fishin rice lake anytime soon the fish are so boring, I am mainly fishing the rivers and ocean for salmon, and steelhead. but maybe i will fish buntzen once every year.

yea ffl i understand what you mean , after catching small 1foot trout its not fun and its not real fishing after you know where all the coho and steelhead are . but if i cant get out atleast once every 2weeks salmon fishing i got to drop a line in a local lake somehow i still havent grown out of it yet.

when I was at rice lake last year I saw two guys walk away with 2 safeway bags full of fish. :/ arn't you only supposed to keep 4 fish?
