Crawdaddy

Looks to me like Harrison Mills.
Crawdaddy

I'll bet not too many people know where this one is. It's a local river/creek. Gotta hike a bit to get to this spot though.
Fishn4Fun

Sorry not Harrison Mills, a little closer than that.
NSphil

the first 2 pics is not the similkameen or skagit. Much closer. about 1 hour from Vancouver.

Fish4fun, your last pic is that stave lake, harison lake?

crawdaddy, is that seymour river?

BullTroutMolester

Gold Creek on Alouette Lake.
such clear water, full of breeding squawfish in the spring.
am I right?
Cream Corn

it looks like the pitt
Fishn4Fun

cream corn sally got it right with Pitt Lake/river.
Crawdaddy

Sorry, not Seymour.
I guess I should mention I'm in Chilliwack so my local river may be a bit farther up the valley.
The Pitt would have been my second guess. Used to fish the upper Pitt as a kid. Road my first dirtbike up there. Also crashed my first bike up there.
NSphil

yep Gold creek it is. such a beautifull location. the creek keeps changing though. Heavy rains have changed the creek so much over 3 years. I 've seen silver rainbow trout schoo lin there and seen a guy catch one.
near lower falls there is a nice area and would like to try fly fishing. maybe there might be some fish and if not it will be a nice experience
NSphil

3rd pic is of alluete lake just below the gold creek area
BullTroutMolester

Crawdaddy

Crawdaddy

This is another spot on my origional river. See if this is easier to get as no hiking is needed to get here.
Fishn4Fun

Yup thats Weaver Lake Harrison Mills.
Gecko

Looks like the run below the Bridge on the Skagit.
Crawdaddy

Nope, sorry. Not the Skagit.
Crawdaddy

Here's a pic of where the fish stop. This is the last fishing hole on the way up river as the fish can't get up the waterfall. The second pic is of my favorite set of falls on the river. It's above the last fishing hole but worth the trip just to see it.
Crawdaddy

if nobody gets it by tonight I'll give it up as I'm heading out fishing for the next week.
Fishn4Fun

Amazing photos man I love em! I have no clue where this is but what a beautiful site.
Crawdaddy

O.K. Can't sleep. Keep thinking I'm forgetting stuff. Never get any sleep before a trip.
Anyways, thanks for the compliments on the photo's. These were all taken up Big Silver Creek, in behind Harrison Lake. About 2 hrs from Chilliwack.
Fishn4Fun

lol give it a rest buddy. Dont think the sharphooks forum will be the reason that system dies, it will probably be Private Power setting up and building damns for electricity. This is a photo thread and maybe from this 1 or 2 people will go visit these spots this year, big deal. I dont think you have to worry about people over fishing a system from seing a picture on the net. There are far more reasons why there is over fishing presure on certain systems and a fishing forum is what it is, a place to talk about fishing. If that means talkn about a few spots we've fished well then this is the place to talk about it.
NSphil

everybody lets go to big silver! next weekend!! lol I don't think people are gonna drive 2 hours and bush wack to go to the locations. It's okay to post pics and names of places. The reason there are less fish is not of over-fishing but pollution, building of dams, spils, farming, mining, clear cutting. For example the skagit is a very well known river for one of the best places to fish using a dry fly and when I do go there once or twice a year i maybe run into 2 people at the most.
coto

that is very true crabshack i havent posted anything secret on sharphooks but once in while in the future i will. the reason why is because barely no one comes on to this site ,there are so few anglers looking on this forum so i wouldnt be too worried
NSphil

anybody know where this is?
NSphil

livingblind

Ashlu?
Dinkycum

" reason why is because barely no one comes on to this site ,there are so few anglers looking on this forum so i wouldnt be too worried "

You sure about that ? Rookies and noobs seem to give up the goods unknowingly. Now Im off to Big Silver for realsies

Thanks Crawdad, I will treat it repectfully. Cheers
Fishn4Fun

back to the reason we have this thread.
Heres a pic of Weaver Lake looking down near the Ski Hill.

Fishn4Fun

Local Lake ...
BullTroutMolester

anybody been to weaver this year? curious if it is still snow and or is open.
fisher 696

We were up that way 2 weekends ago and the road to Weaver was closed,(locked gate) and Morris Valley road was clear but had 2-3 feet of snow beside it.
NSphil

where is weaver lake? is it near hemlock resort?
Fishn4Fun

Yes off of Morris Valley Road. You need to get the key from the park supervisor I think if you want to go up there now. But after May the gates are open. I wouldnt go up there in a honda civic, 4x4 is best but its not that bad. Ive seen people go up there in the RVs.
Sergio

To NSphil
Here it is:
Weaver Lake
BullTroutMolester

side note for you guys, Weaver Lake has a dark past, Clifford Olson liked that lake in the summer of '81.
Crawdaddy

Itchy, I respect your opinion but this is a fishing website. We talk about fishing here and this just happens to be one of the more scenic places I've fished. Seemed to fit the post title yes? I never said I caught anything. In fact I usually don't. Never did I say this was a killer fishing river. It's not. But it is scenic.

Why is it every post someone makes, some high horse, judgmental prick has to come along and piss all over it?

Dink, Good Luck, and take a camera. You may wind up catching nothing but a great picture.

landy8189

snagging and ripping is not really fishing all the people who don't know how to lure the fish into biting so they snag them thats the stupidest thing ever all you people who snag take a fishing coarse and really learn how to fish.
another thing i'm getting sick of going camping and fishing and always finding garbage whatever happened to "leave it how u found it" what ever u pack in pack it out because when u leave garbage behind ur ruining it for everyone else
shizzyisback

lil pic of the bridge ..after a sweet day of pink/spring fishing on the mighty fraser.....

lil pic of the bridge ..after a sweet day of pink/spring fishing on the mighty fraser.....
UBERMAN

The road to Weaver is plowed right to the bridge, and the boat launch is open. Over the bridge there is a foot and a half to two feet of snow still. I was up there Easter Monday.
