Yak, and other previous moderators -
Thanks for all the hard work you had put into this site previously. Its sad to see such frustration that is happening on your part when you don't get support.
In order for a moderator to be effective, they require the power to delete/modify threads and ban members that don't follow the Board Guidlines. Seems that there are no set rules here, which NEED TO BE CREATED in order to maintain decorum.
We are all here to share our passion of fishing and share knowledge of the sport. And first and foremost, sustain the stocks so that we may keep sharing this passion!
Something has to be done soon in order for this site to become what the owners wanted it to be. I've stepped up to the plate and emailed a game plan. I'll see you all soon if the owners bite the hook.
And if you want to step up to the plate as well, please do so. The more eyes on this forum the better. Most fishing forums have a few moderators, as well all need to fish sometime!

I have also made an offer to buy the site, as well as suggesting that we take over as a community.
NO ANSWERS from anyone. I wonder if the original owners are still around, maybe the forgot about the site, or maybe they are not around anymore.(as in Passed away)
I hope someone gets a response from someone.
I have even contacted the domain registry to see if they can contact the owners, still no luck.

This can't go on for much longer. If it does all the good fishermen will be gone, leaving nothing but a bunch of whiners.

Hey Rick - I have taken the initiative in emailing all the people that have some type of mention on here - such as STS guiding, Rivers North, etc... - to see if they have some contact information. Some have "coupons" that must have been set up between Sharphooks and those guiding businesses.
Will let you know if I get a reply...
Who knew it would be so tough to help out a fishing website!
I'd give you my email addy so we can talk offboard, but don't want to post it here. Do you have another handle on another board?
