Is there a way to launch a boat to this lake other than from the private boat launch on the west side? Has anybody tried launching their boat from the public access on the east side? I have never been to this lake and wonder if it is possible to drag the boat from the parking lot to the lake? I would like to spend an afternoon fishing with the kids without having to go out of town. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The girl friend and I just carry our little car topper down from the parking lot, usually takes a couple of trips,
boat, electric motor, battery, gear, rods, lunch, etc.

Thanks bcguy. you mentioned that the boat was carried down from the parking lot. Was the trip from the parking lot to the water a steep and difficult one?? Did you fish there recently and how was fishing in Sasamat Lake? Any lure that you would recommend? and what were the average trout size??

Hi fishbalu, usually I fish that lake in the spring and late fall, (when you can have a little electric), typically just drag a small red doc spratley, or an apex trout killer, fish range anywhere from 8" to 20" .
There are some really nice wild cutthroat in this lake as well as numerous, but smaller stocked Rainbow.
The walk down to the lake from the parking lot with gear is not too bad, providing your not completely out of shape(even if you are, it's probably good exersize anyhow), but seriously, how much work is too much work to go fishing??? I've yet to reach that limit. Fish-on!!!!!
