Nice to have a fishing hole nearby. Nice catch, trout are my favourite. Post a picture of the lake if you got one. I would like to see what it looks like.

found this on ablog site. I wanted to go this year but couldn't because of the job cruch we have in this province.Time off was hard to get. But there will be next year.hope this helps.
Yellow Lake is located next to Highway 3A in the Okanagan valley- East of Penticton. Very easily accessible so it can be easily over fished and I can start to see the stresses of it already when we are going down to this lake each year. It is 35 hectare and it's a beautiful lake. Maximum depth of the lake is approximately 40 m. It's stocked regularly with rainbow and brook trout and because of fishing pressure of anglers, we now chose to release our catch in hopes of repopulating this beautiful lake. It's better fished in the early spring or late fall by trolling or fly fishing. In the summer it suffers from algae bloom and it does suffer from a perch population. It does have a picnic facility as well. I found the best fishing to be early in the morning and late in the evenings and if you do fish in the afternoon, along the mountain sides in the nooks and crannies offers the best for fly fishing.

Has anyone fished this lake in the winter? It looks like they have a pretty good aeration system that keeps the ice off the middle portion of the lake. Has anyone had any success in the winter months?
