Back on the East Coast (Nova Scotia) we were all trout (freshwater) fisherman ( for sport that is). Now I know that the Salmon is world reknowned here, but I still can't believe the amount of folks that prefer saltwater fishing to freshwater....trout tastes much better than Salmon, so what is it?? Is it easier to catch Salmon, but where is the sport in easy...A ton of fly fishing for trout out west here for the sport, but why not more spincasting/trolling here in some of the best freshwater fishing in the world. Is it just because there is more action and easier to Salmon fish?? Interested in knowing as my friend's wonder why I trout fish as my main interest!!

Spend a day trout fishing out here, and then another day salmon fishing out here. Come back and tell me which one you find easier. We have so many lakes out here its rediculous. Salmon only come during certain seasons so thats why everyone is going salmon crazy right now. Also, a bright silver ocean fresh coho stripping you to your backing is a helluva ride.

Great point Louis...when a Salmon grabs and runs for the hills it is pretty darn exciting, and the play time with them is a blast as well...Okay, Salmon is great too!!
