We will be heading up for the Sept. long weekend. Anyone have any tips or knowledge of the area? I have read that it is a decent lake for Rainbows. We will be taking a canoe along. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Shane.

I did stay there overnight by didn't fish the lake. The boats were going to the far side of the lake to fish, so you may have a bit of a trip by canoe (it's a big lake). However, there are several other much smaller lakes close by such as Walloper and Paska. I fished the latter and it was fun. Lots of wild rainbow, not very big though. They were taking all kinds of hardware and flies at that time (later July). Best of luck.

I went there a lot when I was young and did pretty good just off the dock there. But I never trolled the lake or anything that I can remember. We have fished Pasca and Wolloper though and have done quite well on both. We gear fished Pasca with wedding bands, flat fish and stuff. On Wolloper we did quite well fly fishing with leeches.
