just moved to Kamloops and heard there is some sort of salmon fishing... could someone give me some info or a tackle shop in town that i could go to

You can fish the mouth of the little shuswap for chinook. Use a #5 F.S.T. all silver or orange and silver, fish near the bottom. Best times are 5am to 7am and 6pm to 10pm. I have cought lots of fish in the 16-25lb range when I lived in Chase. This will also work in various parts of the thompson river. The times are very important!

do i need a boat???? or is there some way to drive there .. not to familiar with the area at this point

The trans Canada runs all the way along the river to chase. You can also fish off Pritchard bridge or Chase bridge. I don't recommend fishing off shore. If you live in Kamloops it will be very easy to find.
