Spent the weekend at Gordon Lake. Originally we were aiming to hit Abbott Lake, missed the last turn and ended up taking the worst road I've seen in a long time. Honestly, unless your 4x4 is in top notch shape, and the area hasn't seen rain in a long time, don't bother going. Takes about 1 hour of hard rough driving.
We got there first and we thought we might be there alone all weekend. Low and behold two other groups of people showed up the exact same way we did; Looking for Abbott Lake.
Small lake, beautiful, good fishing for August. Constant fish on the line, 2 brought in. Lost one good one to a Loon (bastards!!) Shrimp worked well, got hits on doc spratley's, and leeches.
