Is the salmon season over? (unless steelheader)
All the fish at Vedder are in very bad shape. I hooked 3 springs today, 2 in really bad shape and one has a little "dirty" (but still bright green). They put up a good figh though.
Is there salmon fishing else where? How are the cohos at Chehalis??
Being new to the sport I am very eager to try some more. Don't want to wait 'til next July.

kingfish - salmon are just beginning to pick up in several rivers in the valley... I will not divulge which ones but chehalis is a good bet. Try rivers on the north side of the valley.

depends where you go kingfish. my friends are still catching coho at tamahi and alice pool near slesse creek. but your right about the springs...most are down out wack!
