Can anyone recommend some good lakes near Vernon? Or any goog fishing spots. I'm taking my 10 year son on his first real fishing trip and I would like to make it a good one. Also any tips on lures and bait would be great. Thanks everyone!

We have had good success @ Echo lake in Lumby. 30minutes past Vernon. These are 2 differant resorts you can rent rustic cabins from. They also rent boats. Fish on average are 10-14 inch kokanne. Real prety lake. we have had multiple trips with the boys and the wifes. great place to visit.Good luck!!
